Ranger parts from Bass Pro Shop?

After sitting on hold for up to 30 minutes waiting to talk to someone from Ranger parts with no luck, I sent an e-mail to the address they gave on the recording last week. Still no answer. Today I called the customer service number for White River Marine and told a lady my story of woe. She told me I could go to my local Bass Pro Shop and order parts.

    Has anyone tried that?

You also can order parts through any Ranger dealer, in person or on the phone, and also should try the non-800 number for Ranger parts if the 800 number is tied up: 870-453-2222. We get reports of lengthier hold times every Monday, but there are alternatives.

You can order from Tracker Service Dept only if there isn't a Ranger dealer in the local area...

Local area would be a concern if you needed hands-on service, but is not an issue when ordering parts. Ranger owners from Alabama, Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, and Washington state ordered parts from my dealer in central Ohio last year [that I know of] and were very happy with each transaction. Prices are the same, and in most cases shipping is just as quick from 1,000 miles as from 50 miles. I find it especially useful to speak with dealer personnel when I’m not sure which parts I need. They work on the boats every day, which is a big advantage.

I was one who ordered from JC's local dealer in Central Ohio. They were extremely knowledgeable, same cost on parts and maybe even quicker with shipping. I have a few local (within 200 miles) dealers but IMO JC's dealer had more knowledge. I have actually placed a few orders with them this winter with same results. I have a local bass boat dealer (not Ranger) where I have motor service completed and small items. Luckily nothing major with the boat thus far.

That 870-453-2222 is the only number on the Ranger web site for parts and it is the one I have tried to reach on numerous occasions. Our closest Ranger dealer is at least two hours away.

If you click “Parts & Accessories” at the bottom of the Ranger Boats main page, the parts number is 800-724-7273. My closest Ranger dealer is also 2 hours away, but I call on the phone when I need parts, and they ship to me. 740-694-7774, and guaranteed good service.

Went to our BPS today and was told that the company has not integrated the Ranger parts catalogue with their database so they couldn't help me.

Individual stores under different management. That’s why I would try one of the methods listed above instead.

It seems, WRM is pushing for all parts to be ordered thru the dealer instead of from the Factory. I'm not surprised, it's the "CORPORATE WAY" !!

Ranger is not pushing that at all. They have added phone personnel in parts and service. I merely point out that there are alternatives, in case not everyone is aware of them.

I happen to work for a Tracker Dealership that has a Ranger Dealership less than 5 miles way... and happen to be a Ranger owner, can't get parts at my own shop!!

Yes, I understand that this is true. But as my quote indicates, you can call Ranger Parts or call any Ranger dealer and have the needed items delivered to your door. Not quite as handy in your particular situation as picking up the part inside your workplace, but still some convenient options for most of us. My posts in this thread are intended to dispel the thinking that if you don’t have a parts source within easy driving distance, it’s difficult to get those parts. My own dealer is nearly 100 miles from my home, but I’ve called them in the a.m. and had the parts delivered to me the next day. Shipping costs me a few bucks, but in the grand scheme of things....

Ranger finally responded to my e-mail and gave me the part numbers, but directed me to call the same number I have been calling. I responded to the e-mail advising them that I have not been able to speak with anyone when I have tried calling.

A young lady named Bobbie Jean called me back and went out of her way to get my parts ordered.

I called the 800 number for Ranger Parts today, was on hold for 7 minutes, and got prompt, helpful service from the man who answered my call. Email has traditionally been the slowest method of communication with Ranger [and other marine businesses in general], but I’m glad it worked for you, Dick.

Your experience with the 800 number is not at all like mine. I am not trying to bash Ranger because I love my little boat, but I spent 25 minutes on hold yesterday and 18 minutes this morning with no one ever answering.

I called the closest Ranger dealer yesterday and the gentleman couldn't determine which repair kit I needed. He never asked for the hull ID number.

I'm defiantly glad you hooked me up with your dealer in OH. I have ordered countless things in the last year from them. The owner and parts staff went over and beyond on a couple items I had questions on. Treated me as they knew me for years and they could of just said we don't know what your looking for and been done. If I ever get out there near them in OH I will for sure stop by and offer to buy them lunch.

Pamps outboard in Green Bay is great dealer and prices are competitive. If you're struggling to get what you need give them a shot. https://www.pampsoutboard.com/

👍 Knox is great. I'm lucky to have 2 great local dealerships. Vic's is the other.
