johnson/bomb parts site is a joke

went to the parts site to find what thrust washer goes on a 14 1/2X24 raker and it said in the engine diagram to refer to the props listings, well on the props listing there is no mention of thrust washers or such it just shows the 4 different props they make. Now what are ya to do I need a thrust washer for this as I have a ren bass but it is different from the raker washer. do you have to call a dealer to hopefully find out if they may or may not have one? why have a parts listing or ever refer to it if it is not even on there. even tho the merc site is a pain to navagate it sure is easier to find a thrust washer than the bomb site.

Steve, if you will look at the gearcase section for your motor you will see the thrust washer listed, click on the item number and it will give you the washer part number for the 3 and 4 blade props.

We have a girl that can find it, surely you can too.

    Its almost idiot proof.

Re: johnson/bomb parts site is a joke (RUSTY63)

the reason I stated that is 1) it is called a bushing in Bomb terms not a washer like in merc's , 2) there are 2 different ones listed for the same motor and even for the same rotation 0126402 or 0126870 both are std rotations one is GL and the other is for sl and 25" so now you see why I am and are confused. I tried to call fred but he is not feeling well and was asleep.
so maybe since I have not had a johnson in lets see 15 years, and never had to get a thrust washer before I am a little put off by the statement "We have a girl that can find it, surely you can too" and the other "Its almost idiot proof" maybe for someone who uses the system, knows johnsons and rudes and owns a dealership maybe it is a breeze but for someone who has not owned one and usually steered away from OMC since I was left on the lake a few times by them it is a little new to me.

I think it sucks because it doesn't work for my pooter. Maybe I just need a parts chick to show me how to use my mouse.

Re: johnson/bomb parts site is a joke (lkhartwl)

Steve, I think you took my post a bit harsh. I was just funnin with ya...

The part numbers for the Thrust Bushings (Washers on the Merc site) are as follows:

3 blade bushing (washer) is part number 126870.

4 blade bushing (washer) is part number 126869.

There are some differences between the parts sites but if you have a model number for your John/Rude you should be able to find the part you need.

    Hope this helps.

problem is my motor is about 75 miles from me getting put on a astro, and the prop just came today without a washer/bushing. that is why I came up with the different ones and my questions. Thanks.

Only time you'll see a Coor's in his hands is if he is out of Bud Light long necks and Al is buying the Coor's.
