    Dish Network

SUCKS. Anybody else having problems with it tonight. Ours is saying complete signal loss but we can get a few stations, nothing good. All their lines have been busy for about 4 hours now. Get to stare at the old lady all night....

    Re: Dish Network (jaybee193)

Had enough tonight JB...I called and told em to come get their chit. I canceled my service! They said that they are having major problems and it's even affecting their phones...whatever!

FYI, we were paying 120-130 per month for our dish service, and 70 for Internet I switched back to time Warner this evening, I have all the same service plus the premium movie channels, plus hd sports package, with Internet...for...158 a month!

I can't even speak w/ anybody, just got signal back, but no HD channels available, we have DVR to record HD channels so now I gotta figure out if I'm missing anything. The only other choice we have here is Direct TV and that sucks just as bad.

    Re: Dish Network (Corkpuller)

Ever wondered of it just sux to live in Orange, TX? ... ... Had DTV for 14 years now and nary a problem, except for that very rare downpour, but I have my local channels on antenna in the attic if that happens so I can watch the non-stop doppler radar images and the local weather guy wetting down both legs that he's getting a bunch of camera time. And those short intervals when they cut back to the network feed, the commercials are on ...

They all suck. If it were not for my daughter I would be free TV. I watch about an average of two to three hours a week. If it weren't for fishing shows and college football it would be one hour.

    Re: Dish Network (Tx Champ)

Couple big reasons for me to have Dish. I have an HD DVR in the living room on the main TV and another basic receiver I keep in the shed. That second receiver I tote back and forth to the lake as I have a Dish up there. We also have Dish @ work after many years of bitching about "antenna" TV. They got Dish but a sorry ass business package that has shit for channels. So.......I carry my second receiver to work on nights and weekends and disconnect the receiver there and hook mine up and WAA LAA!! I have all "MY" programming at work.

Another thing. I have my billing address in Santa Fe but my location in Hemphill, therefore my local channels are out of East Texas for news and weather there. I have an antenna in the attic at home that I get my local Houston channels in HD here, along with the locals out of Tyler. Which also means that during football season when we are forced to watch only the Texans, I can also get the ballgame / games they are broadcasting out of Tyler.

ain't too smart, but I'm always thinkin

Dish is great, y'all quit whining and break out a deck of cards for a night. I know it can't happen that often. Wait til you have to wait on the cable company to splice that 600 pair cable that got cut.

damn shame, y'all could be lookin at the Animal Planet right now like me. The pygmy done shot 8 monkeys with his blow gun. Monkey a big part of their diet but they also keep a heap of the lil nasty bastards as pets. They get back to the village and a native chick is breast feeding a monkey.
lil feller kinda looked like Chance

yup, me too!! I'm 3hrs from my home town and the wife is 9hrs from hers... both west of here. We ended up in Abilene 14 years ago in a job move. I was here 15 months earlier, before she & the son moved down due to a merger. If we move from here, it'll be further east or southeast.
