My 1995 150 Evinrude Intruder Power Trim, trims up smoothly but when it trims down, it is very irratic (jumps). Does someone know what I need to do to cure this?

Sounds like it needs bleeding. Trim all the way down, on the right side from the back of the engine, unscrew the cap for the trim resevoir, if fluid runs out its good, if not, fill with Tand T fluid till it runs out and cap. Lower the engine onto a block of wood, and back off the manual release about 3 turns. Trim the engine up for the count of 5, engine should not move, trim it down for a count of 5. Do this 3 times, then tighten the manual release up, and try it then.
I'll try bleeding it this weekend, thanks for the help.
