The middle picture (depth) looks correct as long as it doesnt rub. Spin it and make sure the hub does not rub on the lower unit housing.

Also need to check that the cotter pin/nut lock engages correctly at proper torque. You may need to stack washers between the prop and the castle nut.

Edit: my post assumes you ditched the blow out ring.
