2004 Johnny 150 Water Pump Job

Well, finally got around to changing my water pump and thermostats on the '04 150 Johnson. In the end it was a cake walk and I worried needlessly about accessing the shift rod connection. Here's my question, I had approx 5-6 PSI at idle and around 21 PSI at WOT before the water pump change. Although I have not been able to get the boat on Old Hickory today, on the ear muffs it was churning 12-14 PSI at idle after warm up. The pee stream was noticeably stronger. Is 10+ PSI at idle normal on a new water pump?
Also, the pee stream never got warm (I guess I never noticed that before so don't know if they do). I was concerned if I dorked up the thermostat install and maybe they we stuck open, but there really isn't anything you can screw up changing those out. I appreciate anybody's feedback.

Re: 2004 Johnny 150 Water Pump Job (Buccaneer)

All normal.... My old HO motor would run in excess of 30+ lbs at WOT on pressure. As far as the water getting warm, motor doesnt have a load on it, so hard to get it to warm up alot of times.
