A few things I learned at the Mini this weekend

Tami & I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Stompy's this weekend. Even though I didn't get to show dem boyz how I fish Hubbard & only had the opportunity to be around everyone for a few hours I managed to pick up the following info:

Stompy - he isn't near as mean as everyone makes him out to be. But, he ain't too far away from it either. Couldn't ask for a better host.

Adele -she has a special place in Heaven reserved for her for what she has to put up with keeping Stompy straight.

Fats - perfect partner for Stompy. 2 peas in a pod there my friends.

Texas Larry - the guys got good taste in firearms.

WB - takes him 2 hours to wake up from a 3 hour nap. Yes, Corky, that's no typo, I said 3 HOUR NAP. Don't let 'em give you hell about your napping any more.

Barney - he may just be the sleeper of the group. Smart enough not to say/do something stupid to make my list.

Desertbasser - seemed a bit too busy on that iPhone of his. Every time the "message from Kerry" alarm went off Jeff went . Wonder what he was looking at?

Jordi/Jr. - Jordi was as sharp looking as his equipment/rod locker he built a few weeks back. Jr. was a quick study with Martha's 20 ga. Congrats on your 1st clay pigeon Jr.

Skip - enjoyed making every other husband there feel a little inferior to him by displaying his spoiling of Martha. Like we expected anything different right?

Martha - can't beat a good woman encouraging another woman (my wife) to shoot her 1st clay pigeon. I'll send you and Skip the invoice for her new 20 ga next week. He said he could afford it.


It was a pleasure meeting everyone this weekend. Can't wait to do it again at Jerry's next year.

Things I learned about Tom....When the inlaws need something,,, he's on it like a Duck on a June Bug. And his little boy,,,,all I can say is WOW That kid is 90 to nothing,,ALL THE TIME,,Not in a bad way,,,Need to bottle whatever he's got.

Tammi,,sweet girl that learns QUICK. She was busting about 40% of the clays she shot at and it was the first time ever shooting a shotgun..

Oh Yea,,,Their late to lunch kinda people too
