changing seal in lower unit of 225 Evinrude "Vindicator". leaking around prop

I've never tried this before, but wanted to see how hard it is to change the seal around the propeller. Does anyone know how hard this is, and can give me some tips on how to fix it. I don't know if it matters but its a 225 Evinrude vindicator.

    Thanks for any help

Not too bad of a job, you have to pull the prop and remove the thrust washer. Remove the two bolts that hold the rear bearing carrier lock down tabs, remove the tabs and retain in a safe place. Remove the rear bearing carrier. Remove the two seals on the prop side of the bearing carrier. Coat new seals outer side with Gasket sealant, and inner seal lips with BRP triple guard grease. Use seal driver to install first seal to specified depth then repeat process with second seal. Keep the seals back to back. Replace large O ring on front side of Bearing carrier. Apply bead of RTV to front side for RBC. Install RBC on prop shaft. Seat RBC, install keepers and re-attach bolts. Torque to spec. Coat prop shaft with Triple Guard grease, install thrust washer, prop, prop washer, prop nut and castle cap. Install and secure cotter pin. Torque prop nut to spec.

Drain and fill lower unit per manual.
