yeah nice meeting you too fred, another thing when you try and determine if your hitting wide open throttle rpms say in my case the 5500 rpms .......do you leave the motor tucked in? or do you still have to trim it out to hit the desired rpms? dont know if iam making sense or not....... trying to see if the correct prop is on there or if the motor might need to be raised some at a later date......rob

    Rob,
Wish I had more time up there. Here is how you drive that boat, trim in at idle and when you clear the no wake zone, hammer up, you'll hear it break over and then trim up. Back off the throttle to about 3500-4000 RPM and then start trimming up, watch the gauge, you will feel it in your butt when it gets on the pad. Once on the pad apply throttle, to WFO if it starts chine walking, trim down then back off the throttle. DO NOT cut back on the throttle just trim back in. Have fun~! Fred

let me see if i got this right, hammer it down once i pass the little buoy's...lol....actually there was a guy out there today who floored it at the boat dock........ once it breaks plane and rises then throttle back down too 3500-4000, raise trim until on pad........... mash the throttle again and try to reach 5500 rpms?........... and if it does start to chine......... lower trim and then throttle down?.... or just lower trim and no throttling down?......rob

Trim in then back off throttle a quick pull back of the throttle may give you a wild ride. Gentle pressure on the steering wheel to the left will also help you correct/ compensate for chine walk. Just don't jerk the throttle back, bad JUJU! CM
