Planning a fishing trip, where should I go.

Hey folks I'm planning on taking a few days off work and plan on going somewhere in Texas during the later part of March. I've always wanted to fish Lake Fork but would consider other options. Guys got any suggestions on where I should go for my trip? I'm a Kansas City boy and need to take the drive in consideration as well.
