This was a weird year for us up around Erie. After the mid-June spurt [coming off spawn], decent fish were few and far between, and the best summertime spots were mainly null and void. We put it down to the opposite of drought conditions, however: the Great Lakes and Erie in particular were super high this year. And typically good spots where current funneled the bass were too deep this year to have as much current. But that forces us to learn some new locations, so it’s all good in the long run.
