    Buying 2006 225 etec HO and have a question's?

I have the engine print out, and if says the motor has 98 hours on it. It got a new power head in Feb. And it says 1:58 on the break in so I assume I have 8 hours and 2 minutes of break in left. Is this correct?

I also see TCW-3 listed. I have been reading on here and want to break it in old school. So I would like to use XD-50 for the break in and switch to XD-100. Do I need to have the technician change a setting to XD-100? This boat was a trade in on a new one and the sales guy does not know what oil is in the resevior now. What should I do? Dump the oil and start fresh with XD-50? I don't really want to do that but will if it is best. Is there anyway to tell what oil is in it?

Break in timed by the engine computer is 2 hours above 2500 rpm.

Being an HO and probably on a bass boat where folks love to go fast, keep the oil setting on TC-W3 and use the XD-100 for best performance and long life.

    Thank you SEAHORSE.

Yes it is on a Z20 Ranger bass boat, I am well past the age of going fast, so this boat will see alot of time going around 45-50 mph and very little at 70 mph which is what I understand this boat motor combination is capable of going. Just so I know should I leave the oil in the tank and let it get down to 1/4 tank and then put XD-100 in? This is what I would like to do if mixing of oil is not a problem. It could have XD-100 in it I just don't know.

Run it down to 1/4 tank and then start adding the XD100.
