got an awesome deal on a 85 hp Evinrude with power trim. the only problem is the power trim doesn't work. it's the old Calco system, three wire design. not sure what's wrong with it but when directly hooking up to battery it doesn't make any noise. instead of trying to fix it, I'm just gonna take it off. the boat's it's going on is a little runabout, doesn't matter trim or not. i got the trim cylinders off, but the engine is still up. do the middle cylinders that are not connected to the power trim lines have to come off too? I can push it down, but it comes back up. comments appreciated.
