Wow, what happened here? It looks like smooth water and no swells/wake or anything that would cause a massive blowout like that....

Andy owns record holding race cars... He likes speed and was trying to do the same thing as the OP. Trying different props, motor heights etc. He bought the boat used and the lower unit was not original. It was replaced with the wrong one. A straight skeg instead of the torque tamer. When the motor was raised and trimmed out, It wanted to spin around on him. He was on the edge at 92 mph and the gearcase blew out...

He called me to thank me for saving his life.... Previously he was not running with a life vest, kill switch and had no way to get back into the boat. He is near 60 years old. I was just telling him that he needs to wear a "Good" high speed PFD and wear his kill switch. He listened to me. He liked my All Aboard ladder on my boat and had his kids buy him one for a gift.

So he felt like the outcome would have been different if I didn't bust his chops just before this happened...

He bought this boat after driving mine, Then sold it right after this happened. He bought 2 BassCats with 250 and 300HP motors.... I think he misses the Bullet.
