I have my motor mounted on my Champion but now when I engage the trim and tilt the motor just runs and it will not go up or down. Any ideas? We tried putting trim and tilt fluid in it but it still won't work. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Manual release screw tight?
IF it sounds like the trim motor is spinning very fast, then it either has an airlock and the pump is running dry, or the coupler that drives the pump is broken.

How do I fix the air lock. The tilt and trim was working when I bought it 1 week ago. Now there is a small leak where the 2 piston heads come out.
Tilt it up manually and fill with oil. Let it rest for about 30 minutes. Bounce the gearcase up and down while someone pushes the down switch on and off. If it is an airlock the resting will work out some air bubbles from the oil channels and the bouncing and downward force on the gearcase will help push oil past the checkvalves and into the pump rotors so it can go to work.
