Anybody use them. Thoughts? Better, worse? Do they wear out quickly? etc.....


I've been thinking about these things for a long time. I looked at one again today. It seems that it would be the stuff but as with most things there has to be more to it. I get a pretty good "clunk" when starting off from a stop. Everything with the trailer and hitch are fine. It's just the small amount of slack in the reciever/pin and the tongue on a trailer with brakes. It probably sounds worse than it really is. I would think this thing would help with that.


The one I looked at has a slot cut into the reciever with a metal insert where the ping goes through. On each side of the insert are poly bushings held in by pins made into the reciever, The insert can move back and forth and the poly bushings cushion that movement.
