This job has taken about 2 weeks total and about 5 days worth of work or so and still more to be done!

This is an older picture but it's a good angle. the original blue carpet i was never the biggest fan of but it worked well.

Here is a couple shots oh the boat with no carpet or lids. it took about 1-1.5 days to get to this point

While i had the carpet off the boat i decided to add a Troll-Eze and give it a factory look. it was a bit time consuming, but well worth it! I layed out my own template with tape and cut with a jigsaw. After I cleared the foam away and got the cut the way i wanted it I layed the Troll-Eze in and marked 1/8" away from the edge of the Troll-Eze to allow for carpet and set the router at 1/8"(the thickness of the troll Eze) I found 3/8" or so ply so I then had to seal the plywood with epoxy resin. The deck was a slightly soft after the cut so i came up with an idea...

I did some work on the Troll-Eze. I was not happy with the included screws, they were panhead and I wanted flat! I countersunk the holes to allow a #10 flathead to sit flush. I also added a few screw locations for the support factor, also the Troll-Eze was slightly warped. With this Troll-Eze in the deck becaome solid once again!! thankyou 1/8" aluminum!!

here is the pile of carpet that i planned to use as templates but never did

here is my stack of lids along with my hardware organized in bags and stuff that normally would be in the boat.

Here is the final product! about 1 day doing lids and 2 days doing the capet on the actual boat and tieing it all in together!!

Even did a Rodlocker! I need to order more carpet for the other locker and the trailer.

I was never real happy with the blue, it worked but it wouldn't be my #1 choice. i bought the boat used in 06 and used it for a few years with the original carpet. what drew me over the edge on doing the carpet was a post by RangerR80, his boat looked so good after that recarpet I just had to do it and i'm glad I did!! I still need to do the port locker and the trailer so I'm not done yet but it'ss coming along!
