I’ve got a nice boat that I want to take care of. Don’t get me wrong—I’ve hit standing timber before, and I know it’s part of the deal. But when you're on a lake where the timber tops are right at or just under the surface, how do you break that down? Do you just idle through and bump around until you figure out a path, or is there a smarter way to approach it?

I've tried to follow the creek channel etc but sometimes it's so heavy there I can't even drive a boat through it. Any tips would be appreciated thank you
