Model Number J150GlEDB. I have written about this before. I said that this was a 1997 Fast Strike but by looking up the model number, I realized my 1997 is a 1996. The problem is: Motor starts right up and idles properly. For the first couple of stops, it runs fine. After the second or third stop (fishing 30-45 minutes per stop),it starts fine but when you put the handle forward it sounds like the carbs ar loading up and dies. The only way to get it to run is to run the rpm up and shove it into gear(not good on the lower unit) it talkes several tries to make this work. I tried the bulb squeezing thing to see it it was heat soaking and this did not work. I don't have a problem with taking it to the shop, but there is only one machanic and several part changers in the area and the only machanic is very busy this time of year. Also, I don't see how this situation can be duplicated in a shop.
