Throttle forward while idling in backyard ???

Can I throttle forward while my motor is running in my backyard hooked up to a garden hose??

Should the water pressure go up to 15 or more if its running good?? Just off the motor muffs??

Have a 96 Evinrude Intruder 150hp.

The recommendation for running on the garden hose (using flush muffs, or the flush port on the back of the motors) is to run at idle speed ONLY.
