Hydro steering or no hydro steering

Question for any Javelin 389 owners... Is the hydrolic steering worth putting on this boat?

And also, how do you have your boat set up. I have a 4 blade 24P Renegade with a 175 Intruder and the boat is not lifting. I'm hearing anywhere from a 24-26 P Raker with prop shaft sitting 3.25-3.5 below pad should be the ideal set up. Curious on how you have your boats set up. Wanting to get the most out of this boat, I hear it will run 70 MPH.

Don't think it is worth if your current steering system is fine. But when you need new cables it would be worth it to upgrade then!

Its worth it if you plan on keeping the boat. I upgraded mine and will have nothing but hydro steering from here on out. Its a nice safety feature as well.

Danny, if you plan on keeping your rig by all means go for the steering, it sure does take a lot of work out of it at the end of a hard day fishing on the lake. I look back after using hyd steering for several years and wish i had it big time in my younger days.
