Considering an 07 21i with the big boy motor and looking for some feedback / suggestions. I rode in one years ago at owners tourney, but interests in some user thoughts. Way more boat than I really need now, but not much out there and can get a reasonable deal. Have previously owned zx195, zx225 and Ranger z21. any particular issues with the 300? Thanks gents.
I've got the same combo...
Absolutely love the boat, extremely solid, comfortable ride in rough water.
Only issue I've had was motor related. Center cylinder, port side melted....they said bad gas, but believe it was an injector...all other pistons looked like new...
Cost me a chunk of money to rebuild 4 months out of warrenty...
2 things to consider. 1. if you are a tournament fisher, bigger tournaments will not allow the 300 and 2. resale with that 300 is not good because of #1

Exactly what I was gonna say...I would never own a boat with a 300HP motor for that very reason....
I've always heard about the 250 hp limit, but does anyone know which specific trails won't allow them? I know the previous owner fished a lot of touneys and had wondered why he got the big motor. Also found out it is out of warranty and I'm not crazy about the idea of paying potential repair cost for it either.
