Everybody allways talking gears, what do you think are in my stock 1992 Merc LU?...I need some LU work done anyway and was wondering should i just stick with whats allready in there or could i get more speed with some diff gears?![]()

you've probally got 1.75 like most stock gears are...
do yourself a favor and keep it that way...

so my 200 is 1.87 gears...change those or keep em'?![]()
On my 200 I ran 2:1 gears and a 28P prop and really liked it.. Had real good holeshot and low speed cruise as well..

Keep them and get a 27 tempest plus jacked up as high as you can.

allthough, not jacked up as high as it will go...2 3/16 below pad, any higher and i drop below 10 on water pressure.
OK.. Well Bobs plate is up all the way as well as his motor and has plenty of water pressure. I assumed you had the same plate. They must be different.
