I have a g3 175 eagle. My bilge pump just started making a buzzing noise when I turn it on manually. Any ideas what it is? I haven't tried putting water in the boat to see if it does it in auto yet.

The bilge pump on my G3 has a motor that I might describe as making a buzzing sound when it's running. That is how it is supposed to sound and mine works great. I know because my boat used to have a small leak and I had to use it pretty regularly. I am guessing yours is making an unusual buzzing sound??? If that's the case I wish I could help
It's not making the usual hum. More like a buzz than anything. gonna pull it friday and see what going on I hope.
could it be rattling against the hull making that sound?
