New To Me -- 2000 Champion 190sx



My Search for a Winner Chameleon has officially ended for now. Someone was selling this locally in excellent shape and it was much newer than what I was looking at. I test drove and instantly knew that this boat was for me.

This picture from when my Brother, Father In Law and myself took out the boat to play around and see what it is all about. It was cold and window, but that made for a nice empty lake and ramp.

The only thing that I have had to do to it was replace the trailer jack.. That was a known when I made the purchase.

Now I just need to get a vehicle that is capable of towing it. My brothers explorer did a nice job of towing it. It is a very quiet trailer and boat to pull. You couldn't hear a thing back there. I was surprised how nice this boat loads and unloads for even a newbie like myself.

I also like the fact that it is paid for.. I do not like financing stuff unles I have to so I went the used route.

I don't know, looks more the size of a 150 hp.

Very Nice! I do love it so far. I really like that the front is all deck.. Many Fish and Skis have padded rod lockers.

Is that back bench seat custom, an option, or did champion change it over the years?

I noticed on thing between this and the parent's old Winner.

Winner put a little more thought into the finishing touches.. I am guessing that is because they were also in the business of larger boats so there were a lot of ideas and parts that spilled over onto the bass boat models. Things like metal shrouds for the steering cables and etc instead of that nasty rubber boot. Don't ask me why I don't like that rubber boot.

The electronics are all Hummingbird so that is a plus as I have a relative that works for Johnson's
That also means that if the motor guide ever goes, I need am going with a Minn Kota.

GREAT looking rig! I have a 2001 181SX the little brother to yours with a 150 Mercury that I have owned for 2 and a half years now and I absolutely LOVE it!
