Well I checked the post as you said. I learned looper/closed deck engines didn't come out untill 93..Hmmmm.
Then I read..They were open deck non finger ported loop charged motors until 93 or 94 when they changed them to closed decks and added finger ports.
Crossflow was available from 76 to 91. From 86 to 91 the highest HP was the GT175.
Loopers came out in 86. The 86 and 87 were open deck 2.7 ltr. models. The
GT200 made about 225 at the prop.
In 88 the looper went to 3.0 ltr. but remained an open deck.
The 92 looper added the faststrike trim system.
The 93 loopers were all closed deck motors with finger ports added.
The 2.7 ltr GT200 is considered by many to be the best looper
Now after all of this I still don't know a Cotton Blessed Thing more than I did before!!!
My 91 (VN200SLEID) Xp200 might be a 3.0 ltr. ..closed deck, not finger ported?
Can someone please straighten this out?????![]()
i think u will find that u have an open deck motor.......
