    Ethics of a nonboater

Lets hear all of you guys' ideas? I got to thinking about it here's what I came up with
10 things to help you get invited back
    1. Offer at least $20 gas, depending on distance and whether or not they were going with or without you. I also like buying dinner or lunch.
    2. Offer to clean the boat, whether wiping down the boat or emptying trash, same can apply for the tow vehicle.
3.If at all possible try to keep your shoes clean and don't step on anything that ain't made to be stepped on.
    4.NO SPITTING INTO THE WIND
5.Keep all your gear out of the way.
    6. NO tobacco, smoking, or alcohol whatsoever, for the various reasons.
7.Offer a 100% money back guarantee. If you lose or break something make sure that your boater knows that you're willing to pay back the full price for a replacement or repairs.
8.Make a concious effort to leave things cleaner than before you were there. This mostly pertains to you're area. like the back deck.
9.Do not under any circumstances snipe the boater's fish unless otherwise told to take a whack at it or you're fishing a buddy tourney.
10.Don't be a jerk. Be respectful, courteous, thankful, and grateful at all times.

i think i would have made him use his towel to clean his pizz up. i have some ppl that want to ish with me but their boat ethics prohibit me from inviting them. u would be surprised how many ppl just stand there and watch you wipe down the boat. i guss when your paying for it you try and keep it up.

It was about 5 minutes till check in and he just couldnt wait till we got back to the ramp. It was like he pissed directly on the boat, cause it was all over the back. As soon as we got off the water I asked him for his towell he kept on his hip, and went over and wiped it up and handed it back to him. Before he could even think, he wiped his face off with it, and said something about wiping the water off the boat. I said no, Im wiping the piss off my boat, thats on your face now. He never said another word to me. Just acted all "pissy" and went on.

    not in my boat
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Jayden, I think the biggest thing is that you put "offer" with alot of them.... just offering goes along ways in my boat

Re: Ethics of a nonboater (tswhitney1)

I would like to add a few I remember from my non-boater days.

    11. Don't talk all the time!! I like to talk but 8 hours of straight talk??
    12. Offer to back boat in & out!! This saves a lot of time for the boater.
    13. When boat is hung up quit fishing and help!!
    14. If you have somthing extra to eat or drink offer. Same boaters forget a few things.
    15. If you smoke make sure ashes make it out of the boat.
    16. Have fun.
