Since moving to Lex. I've noticed a whole lot of horse farms and many of them seem to have a fence going around another with about a 15' gap in between em. What's up with that?

If a horse jumps the first fence it is pretty much impossible for it to jump the 2nd since they are usually close together, therefore it prevents the horse from escaping.![]()

Don't feel bad Matt, that answer makes perfect since. However, I always thought it was a lane for riding.I never grew up on a horse farm, plus all the farms that have horses here don't have the money for two fences.

I thought it was to keep the studs from fighting. The gap is usually between fields not on the road side. My pennys worth. Good Question.
