    trailer bunk question

I have a 18 foot Champion and need to replace the bunks on the trailer. Has anyone ever used the ploy bunk boards and are they better or worse then carpeted wood bunks?

    Re: trailer bunk question (pastormark)

No expert here, I just replaced my bunks over the winter; used wood and carpet. I don't see or quite understand how these "poly/plastic" bunks would not scratch your hull when loading and unloading. I can possibly see using them if you carpet over them. They would hold up forever as opposed to the wood. Maybe i'm missing something, and that's what your supposed to do. However all the pic's I see with them, there's no carpet on them ? I'm sure someone else knows better than myself.
