Look for schooling fish anywhere in open water, drag a carolina rig in 15 -20 foot of water off of bear's point. Hope to find a brush pile . If that fails go to the east shore and throw a senko along the weed line.

    Thanks Rick.

Everyone I know (including me) seems to have different names for the same parts of the lake. Can you id Bear's Point? What color Senko is working best there? Boy, if I had GPS points for the brushpiles the guides make in that lake.........
Thanks for the tip about the carolina rig. Never did try that in Placid.
BTW, my dad (deceased) was a Fire Fighter practically his whole life. Engine #18, Buffalo NY.

Bear's point , go out of the boat ramp, head south, along the east side of the lake the point that you come to at the end of the lake is bear's point. Watermelon is a good color.

Why don't you throw Scud missiles in the mix while you're at it. Seriously speaking, all the maps I have received just have all the many depth changes. I wish these would indicate brushpiles. Even Tom Chateau from the FWC could give me anything more precise. Well, that's enough speaking to the enemy for now Hardhead. Later

locals like to keep those piles secret for a reason
There are some monsters in that lake, not usually numbers, but some real beasts, if your patient...definitely gotta pay your dues though
