How do I go about bypassing this on a 2002 250 Pro XB

Are you speaking of the netural safety switch (in the control box), or the Shift position switch (located on the shift slide)?
Also curious to know WHY you would even consider bypassing EITHER switch?![]()

I am referring to the switch inside the box. I was told it helps the life of your lower by starting it in gear and not shifting back and forth

IF your engine idles below 700 RPM.... I'd leave it as-is (the only exception being if you are running a 30+ pitch prop).
Over-riding the start-in-gear protection device presents an "obvious" safety hazard (despite how commonly we hear of it being done).![]()
