    question for rod builders

hello: I have just started to build my own rods and I have noticed some blank manufacturers advertise spinning/casting blanks then they have some that are just listed separate casting, spinning . my question is what makes a blank a spinning blank versus a casting blank?

thanks in advance for the info

Re: question for rod builders (pilgrimlarry)

I've noticed that some of the actions may be a little lighter between a blank listed as spinning and the ones listed as casting. They are saying a spin/cast can be built either way. The way it was answered for me when I asked this question after I started building, Who cares what it's listed as, the fish don't know any different. Build it how you want.

A blank is a blank is a blank. Build it the way you want. It does not know if it is spinning or casting.
