    Raker to Renegade swap

Looks like I've found a line on a good used 21p Renegade that I can put on in place of my 20p Raker. Question is do I need to get another thrust washer specific to the renegade (60 bucks) or will the one with the Raker be ok? I know that they have different part #s but don't know the difference. Hope to gain some holeshot with the 'gade, especially when it's 2 guys with livewells full and a tournament load of tackle and gas. Hope to also be able to steer easier since I only have manual steering. That Raker is a beast to turn at WOT.

You need a differant thrust washer and probably a blow out ring.

Re: Raker to Renegade swap (THE WITCHDOCTOR)

Thanks for the info. Do you have the PN for the blowout ring for the V4 motors? I've search and only see a weed ring available for the V6 motors.

    Thanks

Re: Raker to Renegade swap (Hoosier fisherman)

Thanks. I need the part number for the V4 blowout ring. I've searched the Evinrude parts site and only see one listed for the v6 gearcases.

Part # for the thrust washer is 127212, you are correct there isn't one for the V-4 case as it is a smaller diameter case then the V-6. You may want to check your setup, motor may be too low in the water. About 3.5" below the pad is a good starting point.

Thanks ChampioNman. You don't happen to know where I can get a thrust washer at a good price do you? The best I've found so far is 50 bucks plus shipping. Everywhere local is over 65.

May try e-bay but that is the going cost on most all of the Inet parts houses.
