    2000 rude ram 225 lost 1000 rpm while running?

    So I was running fine until I lost 1000 rpm and 10 mph I got new plugs had a compression check done spark test everything checked out fine. So I bought the diagnostic software ran a injector test fuel pump test oil pump test all was good It said there were no codes?? I took off the black air box because I herd a whistling sound coming from under it and I had a little brass screw missing luckly I found it I was kinda hard lining the threads up on it but I got it installed. I was hoping that was gonna solve my prob but it didn't anyone know what else I can check? Please help! Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

    I think it is a bad injector,did you hook up the laptop and run the motor on the water while performing the cylinder drop test? When performing the test you should get a drop in RPM's as each cylinder is dropped. The one that does not cause the drop will be the bad cylinder.

    i diddnt run the drop test on the water but i did do it in my yard with the water hose hooked to it i lost power on each cyl 2 of them made the motor shut down when dropped

    I put it in the water and did the injector test and I didn't lose power on my #3 injector. So I'm guessing that's were the problem is! So do I remove it and ship it to dfi? Thanks for the help!

    Are you going to guess at the problem and start buying parts until you go broke or get it fixed, or are you going to do the basic troubleshooting like compression, spark, fuel pressure, injector signal, etc first?
