It should be an allen set screw and located at the bottom of the handle! Put it in reverse and you should be able to see it. If the shifter is stuck you may have to feel for it.

To gain access to the set screw I think you need to put it in reverse all the way back through the slot at the bottom.

Will the neutral lock out engage? Have you tried unhooking the cables at the motor? The set screw is a 1/8" Allen and it is hidden up under the recess on the shifter. You shift it to reverse to access it because of visability and usually the seat is in the way.

cable are disconnected, I have taken the cover and lock out off and mounting screws out can sping the hold asy aroung and see in the bottom but can not see set screw. Shifter's gear is locked and will not move. Guess only thing i can do is cut or break off the handle....????

Anyway you can get your arm in the back side and unhook the shift cable? I have a complete setup.

I think if I can drive the handle off the gear assy then I will be able to slide the asy out from behind the outerwall of the hull . Then the cable should also be accessible.Going to try that now.

You should be able to access the set screw in any setting. It would be easier and cheaper to remove the seats.

Correct unless you want to install a separate new cable for the HF and leave the throttle cable coiled up inside the battery compartment for a hot spare.
