1990 xp 200 evinrude. model e200stlese. serial number g02545213.

was recently on a trip where i left my new to me boat at the dock for 5 days. drove it and fished it everyday, just parked at the dock at night instead of pulling out of the water. when i finally pulled it to put on the trailer (and was inspecting the prop that i had just bent up) i noticed a lot of sooty carbon residue on the prop nut and shaft.

is this indicitive of something? running lean? running hot? too much oil?

the motor ran fine throughout the week with just me and my tackle. a couple times when there were 5 people on the boat, i had some cavitation issues. the only other problem i had was that i would sometimes have to give the hotfoot some gas when starting to get the engine to turn over.

havnt pulled the plugs yet. is this soot a sign of something?
