Hi,
this is my first post and from checking this site out it looks like there is some good info to be found here. I know i dont have a bass boat but I do have an e tec so I thought I would throw out a situation I have for you guys and see if you can help. So here goes....
I just got back from an offshore fishing trip running 3 days probably about 40 miles a day. I have a 22 foot boston whaler revenge with a 2005 225 e tec on the back. I filled my 3 gallon oil tank before I left and when I looked at it on the last day it was about a 1/4 full. I think I burned around 70 gallons of fuel for the trip? (my commander series fuel flow meter was not working right so I dont know for sure, but that is another story).

I took it into the shop yesterday and my mechanic told me that BRP was sending parts cause apparently it is running too cold? He said around 120 degrees. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Are there any long term effects that could result in burning so much oil. The motor has about 55 hours on it. I am burning the xd 100 and this is an expensive little problem to have. I have gone through almost 5 gallons of oil since I got the motor.

thanks
