    Tempest or Fury

I have a choice between a 27p Tempest or 27p Fury. Will be on a 225 (stock) Opti hung on an 02 Stroker. Currently 8" Detwiler, but will have either Wayne's new adjustable extensions OR 4" Panther extensions.

Please give me some input before I order.

This is a fishing boat........not looking to go 90+

    Thanks in advance!

Between the 2 the Tempest. For a regular Opti a TXP or Bravo1, or hydromotive will be a better choice than a Fury, or Tempest. I really dont think a 27 Tempest will be enough prop to be honest.

Neither. The Bravo makes the best fishing prop. Get a 28" Bravo if you have 1.62 gears or a 30" Bravo if you have 1.75 gears.

I know I dont the the torque master l/u so i must need the smaller prop. I will inquire about the Bravo. It is not listed on the sheet.........only Tempest, Trophy & Fury.

I may just have to order one of each. The boat currently has a 28p Trophy that I am not impressed with.

    Thanks for your input!

A trophy does everything well, but nothing great. Plus it slings blades. The same pitch Bravo, worked by Croxton, will blow away the trophy everywhere but top speed, and even that will be close.

Out of those 2 you listed I would try the Fury
But I have never ran a Fury
I personaly like the tempest better than the trophy they have a habit of getting there bow lift after 70 mph so get ready to trim down

HOWEVER if your program will let you go with the Bravo

I may be wrong but furys like to be run deep, atleast on cookie cutters. And what im learning, strokers dont like a buried prop.

I happen to like the Fury for a loaded up fishin prop. Holeshot(loaded + fish), mid-range, as well as top end are all pretty damn good with the Fury. It also handles/drives really well with it! but that's just my $ .02

    Re: Tempest or Fury (blackcreekbasser)

That Fury on my sons Ranger really woke it up...before the motor fell off ....but we are also looking at 3 1/2 inches below pad...and a 1800 lb hull....really gives you alot of bow lift....something you really dont need much of in a Stroker.....Hydromotive? Mine has been very good...agree with the post about trophy...you couldnt give me another one....Bravo...a good prop...if your not worried to much about speed....get a good load carrying prop

    Re: Tempest or Fury (strokinrun)

My 28 Bravo runs as good as my 28 Hydromotive q4x ob. Both worked by Mark C.
