ok well here is the deal. i have a 2007 294xl with a 200 yam on it. last year at the beging of the year i bent my prop shaft and had to get that and my prop done. Before all this happend i was hitting 72 or 73 mph turning 5900 rpms. After i got my boat fixed and the prop back i wasnt getting the right performance out of the prop. i was only getting like 60 mph and was still turning about 5600 rpms, the prop wasnt fixed right. So i decided at the end of last year to by a brand new prop. The same one that was on it when i first got it. A yam 25. And i now can get about 65 pr 66 mph thats full tourney load, but i cant turn more than 5000 rpms. Whats going on?? is it even the prop, could there be something wrong with the motor??? it sounds and runs fine. I have a 6" jack plate on it and i know how the boat is setup the motor needs to be raised, but its as high as it will let it go. Still it was running 73 mph turning 5900 when i first got it.
