Anyone know how to reinstall a shift shaft in a 94 model Johnson 50 hp gearcase? I accidentally pulled it out of the gearcase when pulling the lowerunit, now I have gotten it back in and the bolt that goes through it at the nosecone, but it don't shift. What have I done wrong? Can anyone help me fix this?
Delete, I talked with Eddie Pope and he fixed me up. You can't beat the man or his knowledge. Everybody would be wise to use him. Thanks Eddie, (gearcaseman).

Hey, he knows his oils and motors too. He and I talked for about 30 minutes and I could tell from that, that he was super knowledgable.
Yep you done dealt with the best on them cases and he knows a little on them rivvah racers too.
