    Re: 294xl Props (tennerman)

27 Tempest is a good all around fishing prop. The best for all out performance on a 294 200 Opti combo, by far is a 27 Turbo TXP 3 blade.

I've only got a 6" plate set @ 2" and can run 78 and change. Thats 3/4 tank of fuel and my fishin load by myself.

2 people loaded to fish I get 75 gps.

    Re: 294xl Props (ep72)

the 10'" really didnt make that much difference , not worth the money for me i ran 77.1 with a 6 inch i would like to try a prop like yours . my prop has been balanced an blueprinetd didnt help that much, but that thinned prop sure bends a lot easier. dont know if i would do it again.my buddy has a 2010 294 with an optimax proxs i am going to run his 27 fury when it warms up. have you ran a 27 fury yet?

No I havent im curious how a fury runs. I thought the Tempest was just average on top end. My TXP is box stock as well.

    Re: 294xl Props (ep72)

i would like to runone of marks props too if they ever come out. does your boat chine walk bad with the txp prop? my boat runs better than most but it is a handfulll to drive. i wonder if i have too much sternlift with the 4 blade prop. i have ran a 27 tempest it wasnt the best for me. a 26 fury handled better but got into the rev limiter when i raised it up

None. I ran marks 26 prototype, ran like a tempest on my rig. Every 26 i've run has went to the limiter.

Yeah I know, weve got the slowest of the 3 motors.

Thought about borrowing a 30" wheel just for chits and giggles to see what it would do with an empty boat.

We could bust 80 if these motors turned to 6000.
