hey guys iv just join the site and am from Australia
i just got a javelin venom 17" with a 90 Johnson im getting about 48mph on the gps with me and my buddy with full live wells im getting about 43mph is there anything i can do to get a little more out of it, im looking to power up to a 115 at years end.
Im really happy with the rig rides like dream and loves a little chop i just with the casting deck went all the way to the consol, buts its a great boat.

I have a venom 18 with a 115. Best I've ever gotten was 55.5 on a gps. That was with a 20p Raker. Was turning to many rpm's though, have a 22p raker and think if I get it worked a bit I can run that without the extra rpms.
With a 21p renegade I run consistently at 50 on a gps.
A 17' I would think you would be close to 58-60.

Im looking at a 115 i should be able to get 50 out of it no dramas.
