    201 Questions/Help

I have an '04 201, my antenna for GPS units is mounted on the drivers console (see first picture below) and I need to move it to make room for an 1197 SI that I purchased. There is a panel behind the seat (see second picture below) that looks like it can be removed. It this panel removable? If it is removable would there be access to mount the antenna and run the cable?

I have four, what I assume are, stress cracks (see third picture below) around the cleat on the front of my boat. I have a place lined up to repair them but was told that I have to get the flake myself. Can I contact Stratos and give them my HIN to get the correct flake? If I do get these cracks fixed are they likely to crack again? If I do not get them fixed will they continue to get worse, or are they as bad as they will get?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My '08 201 had the antenna mounted in the location you are looking to move yours to. Yes the panel is removable as that is how you access the fuel tank.

Cracks around the cleat area are not all-together uncommon. Especially as that is a very hi-stress area from where you pull up to docks, tie off the boat, etc. To say they will never come back would be strictly a shot in the dark. Are they going to get worse? Another shot in the dark. Are they going to hurt anything? Just the looks.

You can have them repaired if you'd like. How long they stay gone will probably depend on how much you use the boat and how rough of conditions you put it through. Give Stratos a call and they can get you some of the flake. C&O probably also has some.

If you are using a Ram Mount for the installation, it looks like you have plenty of room to do that plus leave the antenna where it is. If the Ram mount is like the one I own, you will need to mount it closer so you will be able to see the screen over the two gauge humps.

You can leave it there.... I have an 1197 on a ram w/ the lowrance antenna right below it.

I mounted the H-bird antenna up at the bow and the 1197 and 787 are linked together. I did not get the switch and second transducer for the H-bird because I'm using the 520 in the dash for bottom depth while running and fuel comsumption.

I'll take some pictures and post tomorrow.
