    2004 275 Pro XL help

I just purchased a 2004 Stratos 275pro XL with a 90HP Johnson 2 stroke. I am surprised how well it performs. It runs about 45mph with a good hole shot. I used to have a Triton Tr20 with a Mercury 225 EFI that had a 6 inch manual jack plate that I upgraded. The throttle controls on the Stratos are so long that the rear compartment lid will not close without moving them out the way each time. I was thinking if I install this jack plate will it fit, and what will what will it do to the handling of this short fat boat? If not can I get the cables shortened? The throttle is stiff to operate

Yes you can put the plate on the boat without any trouble. Performance gains will be minimal.

The 275 is a great boat and as far as handling, the plate will do nothing but help.
