Hull design mostly, as you step up in each series you get a lot more features and a highter level of goodies and options too. All 3 are great platforms though and I would take any of 'em.![]()
So out of the three which hull is smoother, faster, dryer?????? i have a 07 zx 225 but i want to upgrade this summer and get something with the sho.....
The major diffrence between the three models is the hull design. The ZX was Skeeters original design. The I Class although similar in looks has slightly deeper V and more prounounced turning chines. The new FX is a has a sharper V that extends further back towards the pads, and VERY pronounced turning chines. The FX features a noticably narrower front deck and has a distinctive doward hook to the nose. I have owned all three of which my FX I have only put about 3 hours on so far. My opinion is the ZX is the best all around boat for the money, I Class is the best big water/rough water boat. My initial Impression of the FX is it rides smoother at slower speeds and offers handling and cornerns like no other Skeeter made. Hope that helps![]()

My personal opinion is its the i Class. Others may say different.![]()
No complaints with my ZX, mine is the perfect boat for me. They have changed a few things on them featurewise since 2008 though. If I had to get a new Skeeter tomorrow, it would be a hard choice between the i-class and FX.

I've been in all three, and owned two of them. The I class is the best boat, hands down! You may get a tad more speed out of a fx, but they don't have the ride the I class does. In the same rough water, you'll leave a fx with an I class hull.
i would go with the iclass also the ride is unbeatable if you want the ultimate skeeter get a iclass with the sho but the iclass does have one downfall its the price tag but you only live once so go for it![]()
ZX - is the tried and tested hull Skeeter has had for many years. Great economical hull with less bells and whistles.
iClass - was designed as a great rough water ride. Very nice boat and a step up in price but ride also.
FX - has a very good rife but was designed to be faster and tigher turns. Some compare ride to iClass but faster speeds could negate this since the FX is moving faster than iClass it could be the increased speed. THe FX is loaded up with all the Bells and Whistles and the Flag Ship of the Skeeter Line. Precision matched to get all the benefits of the new SHO Motors.
ANy of the 3 models are great models. I would recommend take a Skeeter Demo Ride in each to see the differences for yourself...you can't go wrong with any of the 3. For me I love the FX!

Can't speak for the FX, but I own a ZX225 and have been in a 20i at Kentucky lake is some ROUGH stuff and it ate it up. Of the three, I would go with the I-Class.![]()
The ZX is a very solid boat (one of the best all around boats I have owned), and the FX was built to give Skeeter a higher speed boat, BUT the i-class is absolutely the best boat I have ever had the pleasure to drive. It handles rough water like a dream, especially beginning in 2009, when they improved the seats. Also, you can make a few mods and get all the speed most guys want. It is a dry boat that drives like a Cadillac. The fishing platform is second to none. Lastly, the FX comes with more features as standard, but you pay more $ for the boat. Order the i-class and you can add any of the options you want. That's what I did and I am in bass-fishing heaven. JMO though.![]()
I class for the best overall - especially on big kajes
