What's everyone hearing about 2010 and 2011 new product introductions? The chatter is Skeeter is going to introduce a new bass boat line with 4 stroke. Come on dealers, give us some scoop!

Are the saying boat or the motor will revolutionize the industry?

While attending the SMR I had a chance to talk to a Yamaha rep. and ask him about the new 4 strokes. Had a few cold ones in me at the time but this is what I remember. The new motors will only be available in the 200-300 HP range and are specifically designed for bass boats. The size and weight will be comparable to the current 200 HPDI. They will be available for purchase by spring 2010. There will be a dealer only demonstration some time in November on a SC lake where it will go head to head with a 2 stroke black motor. What are those black motors called again?

If I remember rightly they are called Wanna be Yamaha's.

The lakes that I'd consider a 'possibility' are all within 1.5hrs away from here

Most Yamaha owners know how to spell Mercury, They get so use to reading it off the back of them they see it in there sleep.

All the guys that have yamaha know how to spell it because we get to walk by our boat every morning in the garage. Mercury owners dont get the luxury of that unless they go and see it at the shop everyday

My educated guess.....Yes probably yamaha has a new "faster 4stroke" out that will outrun 2 strokes.

Boatwise....my guess would be that since is the economy isn't the greatest, the new boat design will more than likely just be an FX210 hull with some tweaking and interior design changes, since they haven't had it available for a couple years......My $.02

Mercury was king, but since Bombardier took over.......It sure seems Yamaha has the engineering and technology lead, which leads to better reliability. The Yamaha also sounds better!

I'm hearing faster-lighter 4 stroke with a hull to match, more storage than I-Class; supposed to be a category killer!

... Bombardier took over OMC not Mercury and have done amazing things with Evinrude...

I have a Mec on my Skeeter... wished it was a 'rude. Impartial to Yamaha.
