    Boat Cover

    I am picking up my 2007 21 I tuesday, however the dealer says he only has a shipping cover for me. where can i get a quality cover at a reasonble price..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    What's a reasonable price? $300-$500 - A Westland Custom is as good as any... $600-$800 - I would go with a Boat Boys...

    You can order one from Skeeter. Their covers are made by Aurora Boat Covers. VERY nice! Another option: Boat Boys - I hear they make good covers too.

    The new Skeeter covers may be made in house now. They are using the Aqualon material, making the cover similar to Ranger covers. About the same price as Aurora at about $800.00 retail. Maybe your dealer would sell you one at cost because of the boat purchase?

    I ordered a cover with my ZX250, added about 700-800.

    The Skeeter covers are now made in-house by Skeeter in the upholstery shop not outsourced.

    They offer both boat and motor covers.

    I was quoted today a price of $800-$900 for the Skeeter covers at a local boat show by my Skeeter dealer. Seems to steep to me and might go the way of BoatBoys.

    The Boat Boys deluxe covers are about the same price. You would have to compare to the deluxee covers, not the standard covers.

    I had Aurora make one for me and it was wrong, so had to send it back for modifications then I added some Skeeter emblems etc. and the total was a little over $1,000

    boatboys quoted me $700 deluxe for my ZX190. Thats their price on their website plus 10% internet discount.

    That is a good price for a good cover, the cover for a 21i will be almost $100.00 more though. I think they make covers as close to the factory Ranger covers as they get. I can't wait to see the new Skeeter factory covers, they are supposed to be very similar too.

    I had a local upholstry shop custom make mine for $600. It's made from Sumbrella and is very nice and fits like a glove (made for towing). Recommend calling around to some of the Mom and Pop shops to see if you can get a deal.

    I checked with our local guy, he was outrageous, like $1400 for sunbrella... Granted he makes one of the best fitting and looking covers I've ever seen, but come on, double the $$$

    I ordered a Westland Custom Sharkskin for my ZX250 for $358 with free shipping... Fits as good as most i've seen...

    I just received my cover from Skeeter last week - the lable on it is Aurora (I guess Aurora still makes them for Skeeter). The cover was ordered directly from skeeter and manufactured 1/18/08. It came with the Skeeter emblems on the sides. Looks like a great cover! I'll let ya know how it fits when I pick up my boat.

    Thanks for the info..i received a catalog from skeeter and aurora is the manufacturer, i shall give them a call. When are you picking up your boat..?
