    Boat Wraps

I was wondering what goes into getting a wrap put on a boat. I would love to be able to change the appearance if I wanted to. Does anyone know how much, where, how long.....ect. I would also think that it would protect the boat a little more. How do they keep the things on?? I haven't seen one in person.

A boat wrap is a big decal, sticks on just like a bumpersticker. Prices range from $1500 to $3000+. You are correct, they do add a layer of protection.

Here is a good article of how it is done. http://www.carolinaoutdoors.ne....html

    Re: Boat Wraps (Blanked Again)

I have a wrapped boat that cost me about $4200. Now most wrap companies use 3M vinyl which mine is, however they aren't as tuff as people make them out to be. Mine has torn in several places and been re-taped and if holes get in it the vinyl will start to peel away from the fiberglass.

I wrapped mine to advertise my industrial supply company and have had many comments, glares, and down right compliments about how great it looks.

Sure mine was expensive-It all depends on how much time the graphic designer puts into it.

I will try to post a picture of mine in the pics column so all can see it.

Its real cool looking. It's a wrapped 21I Class.

    Re: Boat Wraps (basspro)

There is a local guy who fishes BFL that wrapped his older Sprint ,guessing late 90s model. I saw it before it was wrapped, looked used. Saw it at a show wrapped and swore he had got a new boat until I looked at the motor. Did wonders for his.

That guy you are talking about is Hal Abshire. Military Wraps did his boat and trailer and truck, did a pretty good job. I think the company that is doing his wrap is working on some kind of wrap that is invisible to radar or something for the military. I am trying to con a few different companies into wrapping my boat, if I don't work anything out, I may just wrap it with my business, as I have someone that will do it for the cost of materials. I don't really care about the advertisement, just want the protection from light scratches and scuffs (I am anal, can you tell?)
