Any fears of a new Evinrude Powerhead without a warranty.

Last week I posted a question of Powerhead vs Rebuild for a 2000 200 hp Ficht. I found a brand new powerhead that a Marina bought on clearance after OMC was purchased by Bombardier. The problem is they are in Ca and I am in NY. Since they purchased the powerheads on clearance it would only be covered by warranty if they install it. Couple of questions. They got these about 3 or 4 yrs ago and even though they say they have had no problems with them being on the shelf do you forsee any storage problems. They are all taped off and sealed from the factory. Does anyone have the customer service # for Evinrude so I can see if there is any way I can maybe purchase a warranty for the powerhead if it is installed by Evinrude Dealer? Thanks, Carl

There should be no problems with a Factory powerhead that has been stored in a dry place.

I have got alot of powerheads from outboard recycle & you get a year warranty with it.
