    Jackplate

    Anyone have a clue where to start with setting up a 6in jackplate on a 1986 vs150 with a late 70's merc 150xs?

    probably start at 3.5 inches below pad and work up in 1/4" increments . keep aneye on your water pressure though and if your speed drops as your rpm's go up , you have gone to high
